2009 Bagpipe Bands
The following bands have registered for the 2009 Bagpipe Band competition:
Ben Lomond High School Pipe Band
This juvenile bagpipe band was organized through the Ben Lomond High School in Ogden, Utah.
Galloway Highlanders Pipes and Drums
The band was formed in 1994 by Pipe Major Albert Rowe. They have toured the Boston area numerous times and have played for many dignitaries such as, former British Prime Minister Margret Thacher. The band meets in Kaysville, Utah.

Henry's Fork Pipes and Drums
The band was formed in the winter of 2003 by Pipe Major David Rock and Drum Sergeant Jason Lenz. They were the first Scottish bagpipe band founded in Eastern Idaho. The band meets in Rexburg, Idaho.

Payson High School Pipe Band
The band was formed about thrity-five years ago by band director Jerry Chatwin. They are currently competing in Grade IV and are under the direction of Kerri Welton.
Salt Lake Scots
This Grade III band competes and performs throughout the western United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, occasionally attending the World Pipe Band Championships held in Glasgow Scotland. The band meets in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Utah Pipe Band
The band was formed in 1937 by Robert S. Barclay, and is still under the direction of the Barclay family today. They are the oldest, continuously organized bagpipe band in the western United States. The band meets in Sandy, Utah.

Wasatch and District Pipe Band
The band was formed in 2004 and is under the direction of Andrew Morrill and Drum Sergeant Mike Postma. They have been successful in competitions and have performed with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The band meets in Bountiful, Utah.

White Peaks Centennial Pipe Band
The band was formed by Pipe Major Don Smith and began competing in 1996, Utah's Centennial year. The band has traveled and competed extensively throughout the western United States with great success. They are currently competing as Grade IV. The band meets in Payson, Utah.
